Study of 3D in-situ stress measurement and stability of roadways in depth

2008
The original in-situ stress is a basic parameter for the stability of surrounding rock support in underground engineering. The measurement and calculation are presented to determine the 3D in-situ stresses for Tangkou Mine. The surveys were carried out at different structural positions and depths and in different rocks using hollow inclusion measuring method in the ventilated and the west assistance conveyance stone door. The measuring depth reaches 1024—1030 m scope.Based on the determined in-situ stresses, their distribution characteristics are obtained by using theoretical analysis. The relationship between in-situ stress and geological tectonics is also studied;and some manful conclusions are obtained. The influence of in-situ stress on the roadways stability is analyzed elementarily so as to provide foundation parameters for supporting structure design.
