Endogenous cholecystokinin and the contraction of the gallbladder

1967
1) Cholecystokinin-like substance in the human urine is excreted more in patient with impaired evacuation of the gallbladder and cholecystectomised than normal subject, namely there are high concentration of cholecystokinin-like substance in patient with a functioning gallbladder. From this result, it can be considered that normally functioning gallbladder activates or inactivates cholecystokinin. 2) Anticholecystokinin-like substance in the urine does not exist in cholecystectomised. This fact indicates that anticholecystokinin is produced in the gallbladder.
