Investigating coronary heart disease in patients with angina

The distressing symptom complex known as angina pectoris is a key indicator of coronary heart disease. Obtaining an accurate clinical history and description of symptoms is an important part of the nurse's role in the care of these patients. A number of tests may be performed that will indicate the severity of the disease.
