Morphological control of tubular g-C3N4 and their visible-light photocatalytic properties

2017
Abstract This paper describes a facile and simple method to prepare g-C 3 N 4 photocalysts by directly heating the protonated melamine precursor. The morphologies of g-C 3 N 4 can be easily adjusted by the heating rate. The g-C 3 N 4 nanotubes were formed when the heating rate is 5 °C min −1 , and g-C 3 N 4 nanofalkes were obtained with the heating rate of 10 °C min −1 . All the samples exhibit high specific surface area and narrow pore size distribution, and they exhibit superior photocatalytic properties. The aqueous RhB solution can be completely degraded after the irradiation time of 180 min under visible light irradiation.
