Extravascular lung water and pulmonary vascular permeability index may inadvertently delay the identification of acute respiratory distress syndrome

2013
Pulmonary vascular permeability index (PVPI) is considered to be a diagnostic parameter to identify acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Actually, we are hopeful of establishing the stratification criteria, which keeps the composite of extravascular lung water index and PVPI as a confirming standard to diagnose ARDS.
