Retinopathy Of Prematurity: Pathologic Correlation of Clinical Stages

Abstract: This article details the pathologic features of recently described clinical stages of vitreoretinopathy associated with premature birth in humans, beginning with a review of retinal angiogenesis in humans and then of the five stages of retinopathy of prematurity, with a description of paramount clinical feature in each stage and then corresponding pathologic changes.
