Effects of desulfurized slag on active oxygen metabolism of rice seedlings on saline-alkali land.

2010
To investigate the effects of desulfurized slag on resistance of the rice seedlings,we tested the antioxidant enzyme activities and lipid peroxidation of the rice seedlings of '96-D10' on saline-alkali land with different quantities of desulfurized slag supplied. The results show that the content of malondialdehyde(MDA),the permeability of cell membrane, the oxygen evolution rate and the content of H2O2 in rice blade and root decrease at the beginning and then increase, but the activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD),peroxidase(POD) and catalase(CAT) increase at the beginning and then decrease. And the desulphation slag 22.5 t/hm2 has the highest protective enzyme activity, the lowest content of active oxygen and the weakest influence of lipid peroxidation. The results suggest that the desulphation slag 22.5 t/hm2 exerts obvious effects on increasing the rice resistance on saline-alkali land.
