Experience with a Standard Model '91 based control system at the ESRF

Abstract The European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF), was one of the first of a new generation of accelerators to use the current Standard Model for its control systems. The light source has been commissioned and is presently being operated on a regular basis. In this paper we present our experience with this new generation of control systems.
