The treatment of skin ulcer in lower extremity with Water-Filtered Infrared A in the patient with rheumatoid arthritis: 1 case report and literature review

Lower limb ulcer is a recognized complication of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), in which rheu-matoid vasculitis (RV) plays an important role in the multifactorial pathogenesis. Their morbidity declined since the application of many antirheumatic drugs. In addition to medication, Water-Filtered Infrared A (wI-RA) is also helpful to the treatment of ulcer. This paper reports one case of a male patient with rheumatoid vas-culitis and skin ulcer in lower extremity, which significantly improved by the treatment of wIRA therapy.
