Clinical Observation on Effect of Anti-Helicobacter Pylori Therapy on Diabetic Gastroparesis

2010
Objective To explore the therapeutic efficacy of anti-Helicobacter pylori therapy on diabetic gastroparesis(DGP). Methods DGP patients with HP-positive were randomly divided into two groups. The control group was given domperidone 10mg three times daily, with 2 weeks of treatment. The treatment group was treated with omeprazole 20mg twice daily, oral administration of 2 weeks, amoxicillin 1.0g and clarithromycin 0.5g twice daily, oral administration of 1-week,and domperidone 10mg twice daily, oral administration of 2 weeks. The symptoms and signs changes of all the patients were observed and recorded before and after the treatment, and then X-gastric emptying test was performed. Results The Hp infection rate of type 2 diabetes patients with gastroparesis was 80.4%(45/56),while the rate of the patients without gastroparesis was 40%(8/20);and the difference was statistically significant between the two groups(P0.05).DGP patients with HP-positive remitted after eradication of HP,with the total effective rate of 85.7%.The effective relief rate of symptoms after domperidone alone treatment was 67.9%.There were statistically significant differences between the two groups(P0.05). Conclusion HP testing and eradication therapy can significantly relieve the symptoms of DGP patients.
