Effect of plasma exchange combined with rhubarb enema therapy on the hepatic fibrosis indexes in patients with severe hepatitis

【Objective】 To explore the effect and clinical significance of plasma exchange combined with rhubarb enema therapy on the hepatic fibrosis indexes in patients with severe hepatitis.【Methods】 76 cases patients with severe hepatitis were divided into two groups:40 cases as group A and treated with common medical treatment and plasma exchange;36 cases as group B and treated with rhubarb enema therapy based on the A group.The change of hepatic fibrosis indexes was observed between the two groups before and after treatment,and compare with the healthy group(groupC).【Results】 There were no significant difference of hepatic fibrosis indexes between group A and group B before treatment(P 0.05),but higher than group C(P 0.01).And all the indices of the formal two groups were all decreased,especially in group B(P 0.01),there were significant difference between them(P 0.01);No significant difference of LN and PCⅢ between group C and group B occurred after treatment(P 0.05).【Conclusions】 Plasma exchange combined with rhubarb enema therapy in patients with severe hepatitis could effectively improves hepatic fibrosis indexes and restrain the progress of hepatic fibrosis.
