[Therapeutic use of ORF 1557-.35 as a contraceptive. Preliminary note]

1971
The author tested ORF 1557-.35 as an oral contraceptive used uniterruptedly on 44 confirmedly fertile patients. The drug is inexpensive and easy to use without serious adverse effects. It would be especially useful to patients who cannot tolerate the usual contraceptives. However the lack of adverse reactions is compensated by a lower reliability in comparison with other modern drugs. It can be recommended when there are no very compelling reasons to prevent pregnancy such as in the case of couples who simply wish to space the birth of their children.(AUTHORS MODIFIED)
