Cerivastatin,a new potent blood lipid lowering agent

Cerivastatin,a new generation of statins,it not only can lower serum total cholesterol but can also lower serum triglyceride and it is more potent than lovastatin,pravastatin,simvastatin,and fluvastatin with a daily oral dose of 0.3～0.4 mg,equivalent to 1%～5% of the dose required by other statins.The agent can lower LDLC by 33%～36% and decrease events and mortality of coronary heart disease.
