Maternal and Infant Specialist Nursing on Improvement of Knowledge, Attitude, Blood Sugar and Delivery Outcome in Patients with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus

2020
To observe the effect of maternal and infant specialist nursing on improving KAP, blood sugar and deliveryoutcome in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). 102 GDM pregnant women who receivedintervention in our hospital from January 2018 to October 2018 were randomly divided into two groupsaccording to the method of digital random table. The control group (51 cases) received routine nursing and theobservation group (51 cases) received specialized nursing for mother and infant. The KAP scores of pregnantwomen before and after intervention were recorded and the blood samples at different time points wereanalyzed. Sugar levels and delivery outcomes were compared. On KAP, the scores of knowledge, belief, behavior and total scores of pregnant women in observation group were significantly higher than those incontrol group (P < 0.05); on blood sugar control and delivery outcome, the levels of fasting blood glucose(FBG), postprandial blood glucose (2hPBG) of pregnant women in observation group at 32 weeks of gestationand the day of delivery, and cesarean section, pregnancy-induced hypertension and new birth of pregnantwomen. The incidence of macrosomia, fetal distress and neonatal malformation was significantly lower thanthat of the control group (all P < 0.05). The normal rate of weight gain during pregnancy in the observationgroup was significantly higher than that in the control group and the difference between groups was significant(P < 0.05). The satisfaction of the patients in the observation group was significantly higher than that in thecontrol group, and the difference between the groups was significant (P < 0.05). By improving KAP of GDMpregnant women and promoting the cooperation of pregnant women with intervention, maternal and infantspecialist nursing can control blood sugar more significantly and reduce the adverse clinical outcomes ofchildbirth. Therefore, nursing intervention in patients with pregnancy hyperglycemia can not only help patientsto understand the health knowledge and change the bad habits of patients, but also help patients to improve thecurative effect and enhance the quality of life of patients. It is worthy of reference in clinic that it is helpful tothe smooth delivery progress and the effective improvement of the delivery outcome.
