Particle correlations in ultra-relativistic heavy-ion experiments STAR at RHIC and ALICE at LHC
1998
Particle interferometry is one of the tools proposed to extract quark-gluon plasma signatures in ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions at RHIC and LHC. From an ex perimental point of view, STAR and ALICE experiments installed at these facilities will provide exceptional conditions to study particle correlation studies. Some of the new possibilities open by these experiments are investigated.
