Changes in interleukin‐17A, macrophage‐derived chemokine and adiponectin following treatment of psoriasis with calcipotriol plus betamethasone dipropionate aerosol foam: results from the PSO‐ABLE study

2018
Psoriasis vulgaris is an immune-mediated disease characterized by skin and systemic inflammation that is associated with an increased risk of comorbidities such as cardiovascular disease. Although typically associated with moderate-to-severe psoriasis, recent data suggests that increased vascular inflammation may occur in patients with milder psoriasis. It has been shown that systemic treatment of psoriasis leads to an improvement in cardiovascular-associated biomarkers, eg adiponectin levels. This article is protected by copyright.
