Adrenoleukodystrophy presenting with Addisonian crisis

The case of a young boy who presented with Addisonian crisis as a manifestation of adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) is presented. Adrenoleukodystrophy is an uncommon X-linked genetic disease that may present with acute adrenocortical insufficiency. The pathogenesis, clinical presentation and management of adrenoleukodystrophy are presented.
