Δ - Δ resonance in the nonrelativistic quark model
1980
Abstract The Δ - Δ resonance is treated in the nonrelativistic quark model. The trial wave function is a colour singlet including N-N, Δ - Δ and coloured baryon channels. The effective Δ - Δ potential is repulsive at all distances for T =0, S =1, L =0,2,4 while for T =3, S =0, L =0 and T =0, S =3, L =0 it has a minimum. The GCM calculation gives for the latter state the binding emergy ∼ -40 MeV.
