Purpose: Obesity is a chronic, complex public health challenge that poses significant risk to the physical and psychological health of children. Treatment Efforts to Address Child Weight Management by Unifying Patients, Parents, and Providers (TEAM UP) is a pragmatic, multi-site childhood obesity study designed to compare the effectiveness of Family-based Behavioral Treatment (FBT) vs. enhanced Standard of Care (eSOC) as childhood obesity treatments in primary care practice.
