Linkage and association analysis of the tissue transglutaminase gene: the TTG gene is not involved in celiac disease

2001
+ and Bcl-2 ÷ cells were T-lymphocytes, seriate sections were incubated with a polyclonal anti-CO3 antibody (DAKO) at 1:2000 dilution. Results: In CO patients with EATL the percentage of TUNEL ÷ LPLs (mean 0.8%) was significantly lower than in biopsied controls (mean 2.4%, pmean 4.2%, pmean 10.8%, pmean 12.4%) in comparison to biopsied controls (mean 7.1%), uncomplicated treated (mean 6.1%) and untreated CD patients (mean 5.3%). No significant difference was found between treated CD patients, untreated CD patients and controls. Conclusions: Our findings suggest that decreased lymphocyte apoptosis, probably mediated by an up-regulation of BcF2 expression, could be involved in the pathogenesis of EATL in CO.
