Study of Relationship between the Level of Plasma Effective Osmotic Pressure in NKHC

Objective To study the ralationship between the level of plasma effective osmotic pressure and prognosis in non-ketotic hyperosmolar diabetic coma patients.(NKHC). Methods 85 non-ketotic hyperosmolar diabetic coma patients in our hospital were analyzed.Accrding to the level of the effective plasma osmolality,all patients were divided into 3 groups,the patients were given the correct treatment and observed for one week. Results The higher the level of the effective plasma osmolality,the heavier the clinical condition on admission,worse the condition and the higher the mortality rate.Conclusion The level of effective plasma osmolality is the most important index for evaluating the prognosis of the non-ketotic hyperosmolar diabetic coma patients.
