prevent plaque rupture. We present a case of a patient who after stopping statin Abstract Patients with coronary artery disease and diabetes exhibit more extensive atherosclerosis and inadequate compensatory remodelling of the arterial wall, compare d to patients without diabetes. Several landmark trials have established that HMG-CoA reduc tase inhibitors, the statins, reduce the risk of primary and secondary acute coronary events in a wide range of patients and hence they should be an important part of prescription of such 1 patients. Here we present a case report of a patient who presented within 6 months with anterior wall myocar dial infarction. CAG revealed 99% stenosis of LAD and 95% stenosis of distal RCA which were just a minor plaque before stopping his statin therapy.
