Annihilation of slow antineutrons in nuclei: the problem of detecting neutron-antineutron oscillations
1982
A model of the nuclear absorption of slow antineutrons is formulated. Various characteristics of the annihilation of antineutrons in nuclei are calculated; these characteristics will be needed for planning experiments to search for nbold-arrow-left-rightn-bar oscillations in neutron beams from nuclear reactors or meson factories. Various methods of detecting nbold-arrow-left-rightn-bar oscillations by recording annihilation products are discussed.
