Lepton asymmetry in B decays

An estimate of the possible magnitude of the lepton asymmetry in B{sub d} decay is given in terms of observables. The asymmetry in B{sub s} decays is also discussed. It is concluded that the lepton asymmetry is not useful for detecting new physics in B{minus}{bar B} mixing. {copyright} {ital 1998} {ital The American Physical Society}
