Antimicrobial Activity of Silver Nanoparticles Synthesized Via Green Chemistry

2016
"> Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) synthesis is among the new areas of nanotechnological research and it’s a bit cost effective, pollution freeand environmental friendly compared to other metals used to synthesized nanoparticles. The synthesized nanoparticle was characterized using Atomic Force Microscope (AFM), FTIR, EDX, UV-Vis, Zeta Sizer and anti-microbial activity studies was also carried out. These techniques of identification were for morphological, particle size and concentration of NPs for the engineered NPs. Antimicrobialsusceptibility tests was conducted to determine the in vitro activity against certain bacterial species developed in antimicrobial material using disc-diffusion method. The silver nanoparticles exhibits great effectiveness in anti-bacterial activity near gram positive S.aureus and gram negative E. coli.
