Expression of SSeCKS in aorta tissue in rats with atherosclerosis

Objective To investigate the expression of Src suppressed C kinase substrates(SSeCKS)in the atherosclerosis(AS)aorta of rats.Methods Sixteen male SD rats were randomly divided into two groups with 8 rats each.AS model was established by fat diet with vitamin D3 injection ip.in group A.The rats in group B were given standard diet as the controls.After 12 week,serum total cholesterol(TC)and triglyeride(TG)were detected.Thoracic aorta was stained with HE.SSeCKS expression was measured by immunohistochemistry,immunofluorescence and Western blot.Results Compared with group B,group A showed elevated TC and TG(P0.05)and aortic fibrous plaque formation.In group A,SSeCKS expression was significantly increased in the aorta and colabeled with endothelial cell marker CD31.Conclusion SSeCKS might influence vascular remodeling,which plays an important role in AS.
