Purpose: Despite its high prevalence, neurologic outcomes of PICU patients with bronchiolitis are poorly described. We aimed to estimate acute and chronic neurological dysfunction in previously healthy critical bronchiolitis patients using two large, multicenter databases. Methods: With IRB approval, we separately interrogated the Virtual PICU Systems (VPS, LLC, Los Angeles CA) and the Pediatric Health Information System (PHIS, Children’s Hospital Association, Lenexa KS) databases for subjects < 2 years old admitted to a participating center (VPS: n=152; PHIS: n=48) between 2009-2015 with a primary diagnosis code of bronchiolitis.
