2016
Objective To explore early intensive health education on nursing of elderly patients with abnormal fasting blood-glucose. Methods According to the number of hospital admission case number, 130 elderly with abnormal blood glucose value were averagely divided into control group and experimental group by random number table. The patients of control group received routine nursing while the patients of experimental group underwent early intensive health education. The level and self-management ability of blood glucose were compared between two groups. Results After nursing, the level of blood glucose declined in experimental group compared that before nursing and was lower than that of control group (P<0.05) ; the self-management behavior improved in both groups and the differences of two groups had statistical significance after nursing (P<0.05). Conclusions Early intensive health education can increase the awareness of diabetes prevention in elderly people with abnormal fasting blood glucose, increase self-management and supervising ability, so as to improve patients total quality of life.
