633 MORTALITY AND UTILITY OF PROGNOSTIC SCORING MODELS IN CIRRHOTIC PATIENTS ADMITTED TO A TERTIARY NON-TRANSPLANT INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (ICU) IN THE UK

2012
Results: 78% were male with mean age 56 (range 33–78) years. Aetiology of CLD was: alcohol 35%, HCV 38% and other 27%. 8 (10%) were lost to follow-up. Median follow-up was 15 (range 1–37) months. 26/77 (34%) developed complications [portal hypertensive (PHT) in 18/26]. 11/77 (14%) died. 66% had clinically significant portal hypertension (CSPH; HVPG ≥10mmHg). LSM (P =0.0001, r = 0.35), ALT (P = 0.0004, r = 0.12) and age (P = 0.006, r = 0.02) were independent predictors of HVPG. LSM predicted CSPH with an AUROC of 0.87. LSM cut-offs for CSPH are shown in Table 1.
