In the study, 829 graduate and undergraduate students were included, with and without asthma, who were currently attending an independent liberal arts university in the southeast United States. Of these participants, 19.7% had reported being diagnosed with asthma. Most participants identified as female, non-Hispanic white, and heterosexual.
