Alzheimer′s Disease-related Risk Factors

Objective To explore the related risk factors of Alzheimer(AD)to provide references for its etiologic study,early prevention and intervention.Methods Thirty-nine AD patients admitted to Harbin No.1 Social Welfare Institute Geriatric Hospital from January to December of 2011(case group) and 32 healthy elderly(control group) were evaluated by mini-mental state examination(MMSE) and self-made questionnaire.Univariate and multivariate Logistic regression analyses were performed on related exposure factors.Results By univariate Logistic regression analysis on related exposure factors,7 meaningful AD pathogenesis related risk factors were screened out(P0.05).Occupation,educational level,marital status were negatively correlated with AD onset;age,histories of diabetes,cerebrovascular disease and head injury were AD risk factors.The 7 meaningful factors were analyzed by multivariate Logistic regression analysis,4 meaningful independent factors were screened out.Age,histories of cerebrovascular disease and head injury were AD independent risk factors,mental labor was an independent protective factor.Conclusion Histories of cerebrovascular disease and head injury are AD independent risk factors,and mental labor is an independent protective factor.
